Single Origin vs Blend

What is Single Origin Coffee?

Single origin means a coffee that’s sourced from one producer, area or region in a country. Essentially a ‘single’ origin.

Single origin coffees allow you to experience specific characteristics and unique profiles of the coffee. Perfect to drink on its own for filter coffee or black coffee.

What is a coffee blend?

Coffee blends combine beans from different origins or countries around the world. Generally, from 2 to 4, sometimes even 5 different origins! When done right, coffee blends can have a more complex and balanced profile that single origin coffees can’t mimic.

Coffee blends tend to be enjoyed with milk, although more often than not they’re also great for black coffee.

Will you explore the unique profile of single origins, or will you stick with the balance and complex profile of a blend?

Happy brewing!
