This month’s Roaster’s Choice brings together two exceptional Ethiopian coffees:

  • 50% Ethiopia Amaderaro G1 Washed
  • 50% Ethiopia Koke G1 Natural

The result is a beautifully balanced blend that showcases the best of both processing methods. Expect vibrant notes of juicy mandarin layered over rich caramel and smooth milk chocolate. Bright citrus sweetness shines through on the first sip, before giving way to a creamy, chocolatey finish that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Our team loves this coffee both black and with milk, where its natural sweetness and chocolate notes really come to life. For milk-based coffees, we recommend always pulling a double shot to achieve the perfect balance and flavour intensity.

ROASTERS RECOMMENDATION

Brewing Tip: Pull a double shot milked based coffees - to enjoy this blend at its best!

If your portafilter basket doesn't comfortably hold 19–19.5g, simply maintain the same brew ratio of approximately 1:2.2 and adjust your dose accordingly.

For the best results when using a darker roast for alternative brewing methods, we recommend a few simple adjustments:

  • Use slightly less water
  • Add a little more coffee
  • Grind a touch coarser
  • Lower your water temperature

These small changes can help bring out better balance, sweetness and clarity in the cup.
